Time to Recharge

Hey friends, welcome back! Today I will be talking about a topic that hits home for me, especially right now.

If you know me personally, you will know I have been interested in crystals for the past three or four years, but I’ve gotten even deeper into them this past year. I am a lover of all things nature, our Mother Earth, the moon, and the sun, so crystals fit right in.

Lately, life has been crazy. My thoughts have been all over the place trying to figure out what the next adventure in my life will be. Life has been constantly moving very fast, and sometimes it is hard to keep up.

That is why it is good to step back and recharge yourself. I believe people work in a similar way to how crystals work. If you didn’t know, crystals have to charge, and there are many ways they can charge. You can charge them by moonlight, the sun, plants, music and water (depending on the type of crystal. Some can’t be in sunlight or water, so be careful). In other words, crystals need to be surrounded by things that make them feel strong and loved in order to charge..

We are a lot like crystals because when we work hard, we start to feel run down. When you don’t eat well, get enough sleep, or take time to rest, you will need to recharge in the same way crystals do.

And that’s where I am in life right now. I need to step back and focus on happiness and self love. It is a good feeling working hard and stay motivated, but what I need is to find that balance in life where I am working hard and taking care of myself. I need to make time on the little things that help me remain happy and balanced through all the stressful times when things can become a little overwhelming.

List of some of the things that make me happy and help me feel balanced and recharged:

  • Concerts
  • Crystals (obviously)
  • Blogging
  • Working out
  • Meditating
  • Going to Parks
  • Traveling
  • Spending time with my dog
  • Spending time with family/boyfriend
  • Going out to Brunch
  • Surrounding myself with great people
  • Dressing up
  • Taking pictures for Instagram/Blog
  • Coffee Shops/Coffee Runs
  • My Job
  • Reading
  • Planting new plants or taking care of my green babies

Now that I wrote my list, you should too. Write about things you enjoy and do one of the things you wrote down for an hour a day. I am going to take an hour of my life to recharge and use that time to relieve stress when doing whatever I love to do. It will help me keep growing as a person and find that balance between bettering myself and taking care of myself.

I will continue to live the life I want and push harder to be a better person, but I can’t forget to take care of myself on my journey.
