Happy Blogmas everyone!
Today I am coming at you with a very yummy blog post! I will be sharing my favorite treats for this time of year with you! And let me just tell you, I loved writing this blog because I had to make all these yummy treats and eat them! These treats that I’m about to share with you, are perfect for any event, party or even just a good snack for chilling out at home while watching some Christmas movies or getting some Christmas decorating done.
So let’s start, shall we?
1 // Oreo Balls –
Oh my goodness, these are amazing and super chocolatey, so make sure you have a glass of water/milk/eggnog or whatever you desire next to you while eating these babies. Oreo balls are super easy and fast to make. It is a good snack if you are running late to a party. Believe me, if you bring these, everyone will love you because who doesn’t love oreos, let alone oreo balls.
2 // Apple Crisp –
This is more of a Fall dessert, but Fall doesn’t last very long in Buffalo, so I still love to enjoy some Fall treats around this time. Apple Crisp is such a good treat if you are feeling festive and want a nice warm treat. But, you can’t forget the little scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and the little drizzle of caramel. Then, my friend, you’re all set!
3 // Pumpkin Cheesecake –
Man oh man, this stuff is delicious. Not only do I love pumpkin, but I also love cheesecake. So, this is the perfect treat for me! As I said, Fall doesn’t last long in Buffalo, so I like to drag it out as long as I can! Too bad cheesecake is so filling, otherwise I think I would be able to eat the whole pie.
4 // Cinnamon Strawberry Pancakes –
Honestly, I never tried this until a few weeks ago and I am so glad I did. I wanted to make some pumpkin pancakes, but I didn’t have any pumpkin in my apartment. I still wanted to be festive, so I looked around my apartment and I found cinnamon. Then, I was like “okay, let’s try this” and I’m glad I did. I make this whenever I am not in a rush in the morning because this breakfast treat is amazing. Also, I like to add strawberries to my pancakes on top with some syrup and whipped cream to complete this awesome little breakfast.
Recipe // Honestly, for this one, I just do some pancake mix and add however much cinnamon I want. Very simple and easy!
5 // Banana Bread –
This is probably favorite treat on this list! This is a great treat for just hanging out at home, or if you are running out the door. All you have to do is cut a small piece of banana bread and you’re ready to go, but don’t forget to warm it up and put some butter on it. It is amazing! I have been eating banana bread for the past week. It is such an easy snack on the go and easy to eat in the car, when you are in a rush to go to work, school or wherever you are going!
Those are my top five favorite treats for Winter. I like how they’re all so different and you can use all of them on different occasions. I will be snacking on these treats quite a bit this season. Catch me at the gym trying to work all of these yummy treats off!
