Today’s blog post is a little different. Today I am writing about my true love, Coffee. If you are new to my blog then you may not know that I am addicted to coffee. I have a problem, but I guess it’s not a bad problem. Unless you count the headaches from lack of coffee or my paychecks going mostly to coffee shops.
I often stop at Starbucks, before and during work. I obviously have my go to Starbucks in Lancaster and everyone is so wonderful there. I have to say it would be pretty stressful working at coffee shop because you’re making or breaking someone’s day with the coffee you make them. I give them major props. My favorite drink currently at Starbucks is the Caramel Brulee Latte. It is seasonal, which is so sad because it is my absolute favorite drink at Starbucks.
Not only do I love going to coffee shops for the coffee, but I love going for the vibe and atmosphere. A lot of my blogging I get done at coffee shops. There’s something about the music, coffee and the focus I have in a coffee shop. I can focus so much harder on what I am writing in a coffee shop, than when I am writing at home. I can sit and blog for quite a bit, maybe three or four hours at a time in a coffee shop, but when I blog from home, I easily get distracted.
Coffee also brings people together. My friend, Allie, and I will get together once a month and meet at a Starbucks or local coffee shop. It is our relaxing meet-up, where we let go of our stress as if it doesn’t exist there. We bring our coloring books and just color for hours while catching up with what has been going on in our lives. We discuss our goals, school, work and stuff like that. It honestly really helps with relieving stress.
Coffee also somehow makes me feel like I have my shit together, even if I don’t. If I’m sad on a certain day, I just get coffee. If I’m stressed, I just go get coffee. If I’m tired, I go get coffee. Whatever mood I am in, I go get coffee and for some reason it makes my mood a hundred times better.
So for all of that, thank you coffee.
